Oakhill is appealing to our community to support our Books for Bursaries sale on World Book Day on Friday, 24 April 2026 and directly impact future Oakhill Bursary students.
Students and families are encouraged to donate their pre-loved novels, fiction and non-fiction, recipe books or similar to the Books for Bursaries ”bookstore” in aid of the Oakhill Foundation Trust. Our students, with the spirit and love of reading, will host a book sale on World Book Day for our community purchase this selection of books.
All donations and subsequent sales will make a direct impact to bursary students as funds will go towards bursaries administered by the Oakhill Foundation Trust. (Important Note: Textbooks aren’t included in this sale as there is the Oakhill Secondhand Books WhatsApp Group facility for Oakhill families to sell 2nd hand textbooks, or to donate to the Bookroom).
How you can support and make a difference…
Donate: Friends and families of Oakhill to consider donating books you no longer read, or require. Book donations are kindly requested to be handed over the next week, to Class Teachers and Mentors by Monday, 20 April. This will allow for the English Departments and students, supported by our PACT Committee of parents to categorize and prepare for the sale. Remember to encourage friends and family to help support if they too have books to donate!
Come Buy: World Book Day – Books for Bursaries Sale – Friday, 24 April at Oakhill School Hall
Students: Shop during break times.
Parents: Join us from 1pm – 3pm.
Payment: Both card and cash are welcome!
