Step back in time and join us on Wednesday, 17 June for a special screening of original Silent Films created by our Grade 8 Dramatic Arts students as part of their June practical examination.
Inspired by the classic cinema of the 1920s, these short films capture the charm, humor, and dramatic flair of the silent era – complete with stereotypical characters, classic plotlines, and plenty of vintage-style expression. From initial concept to final cut, students were fully hands-on in every stage of the creative process: Writing the story, planning detailed storyboards, acting out scenes with expressive physicality and finally editing their films with soundtracks and special effects.
This has been an exciting, creative journey that the students embraced with enthusiasm-and now, it’s time to share their cinematic creations on the big screen!
We look forward to seeing you at this and future showcases.
