Join us for “In the Middle”, an afternoon of Dramatic Arts on Friday, 19 June that journeys between fantasy and reality, dream and truth, magic and the everyday.
Our Grade 10 students will transport you into the whimsical and unpredictable world of William Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, where fairies meddle, lovers wander, and nothing is quite as it seems. Then, as the mist of the forest clears, our Grade 11 and 12 students will bring you firmly back to earth through a collection of carefully selected monologues and dialogues from the genre of Realism – stories that explore the complexities, challenges, humour, and humanity of real life.
“In the Middle” celebrates the space between these two worlds: where imagination meets authenticity, and where our young performers showcase the range of their dramatic craft. This performance forms part of the students’ June Practical Examination, representing the culmination of their work throughout Term 2.
We look forward to our Dramatic Arts students taking to the stage, moving seamlessly from the fantastical to the familiar, and discovering what lies in the middle.
