College Chukka Festival Wraps Up

The Oakhill Chukka Festival for High Schools took place at Thesen Harbour Town from 27 February to 1 March and hosted 27 excited and energetic teams from all over South Africa. Thank you to to all the students, coaches, parents and supporters for your participation in the festival, and a special thank you to SANParks & Thesen Harbour Town for providing such a fantastic venue. To the stars of the show, the water polo players, well done on some very tough games!

The Award Ceremony took place on Saturday evening at Oakhill School, where the Top Goal Scorers of the festival, as well as the Most Valuable Player on each team, were recognised. In the Prep Festival, Oakhill celebrated receiving Top Goal Scorer for both Girls and Boys, while the High School Festival’s Top Scorers were from Pinelands and Graeme College.

The Most Valuable Players in each of the College Teams were as follows:

  • Oakhill – Dimitre Papgis (Boys) and Tamara Foyn (Girls)
  • Bridge House – Stephan Naude & Sam Stevens (Boys) and Cimon Saayman (Girls)
  • Camps Bay High School – Dylan Phillips (Boys) and Jessica Way (Girls)
  • Collegiate – Emma Hobson
  • DSG – Michelle De Kock and Emma Davidson (DSG U16)
  • Fish Hoek High School – Joshua Rice (Boys) and Skiegh Herman (Girls)
  • Graeme College – Thomas Vos
  • Grey High School – Ross Edwards
  • Parklands College – Michael Nesbitt (Boys) and Derryn Williams (Girls)
  • Pearson High School – Jacques Potgieter (Boys) and Ashley Duffy (Girls)
  • Pinelands – Farouk Mayman (Boys) and Winona Autagavaia (Girls)
  • Reddam House – Angela van Dijk
  • Woodridge College – Gregor Whitehead (Boys) and Amelia Hanegraaf (Girls)
  • Wynberg Boys High School – Micheil MacDonald
  • Wynberg Girls High School – Amber Rose Bailey
  • York High School – Keanu Wells (Boys) and Emma Kiely (Girls)

Bridge House, Camps Bay, Clarendon, Collegiate, DSG, Fishhoek, Grey, Parklands, Pearson, Pinelands, Reddam, Woodridge, Wynberg and York …. we look forward to seeing you in Knysna again next year!
