Building and Wiring Solar Powered Cars

Our Grade 7s are testing their technology skills by recently building and wiring solar-powered cars. Thank you to Sasol which has kindly sponsored kits for our pupils. These kits show how solar-powered vehicles work with materials that enable our pupils to build their own model solar-powered cars. Our pupils thrived in this new experience and have learnt valuable circuitry skills, which they will expand on further. Watch this space next term as they modify these kits to add a microcontroller and program their cars to follow their coding instructions. It has been exciting to experience future solar technology first-hand.
