Last Friday, we hosted the second regional Phendulani Quiz, which aims to promote English Literacy at second language primary schools in our region. Each school is given a batch of donated English books earlier in the year and from these titles, the quiz material is created. Participating schools this year were Sunridge Primary, Fraaisig and Chris Nissen; the competition was stiff but each child walked away with a book prize or a small cash prize. Congratulations to Fraaisig’s teams who came in first and second place, with Sunridge School coming third.
