A successful Career Day was hosted yesterday with over 60 speakers and representatives from different training institutions, including Edulink representing several international universities. As the second Oakhill College Career Day – with double the number of speakers from last year – the students were completely spoilt for choice which sessions to attend. An exciting future-minded experience offered sessions with Drone Engineers, App Developers, Town Planners and Lawyers to Conservationists, Farmers, Engineers, Doctors and Financial Specialists as well as Fitness Trainers, Hospitality, Super Yachts, Helicopter Pilots, Hairdressers and Modelling, to Designers, Entrepreneurs, Animal Behaviourists and Adventurists and so many more potential careers.
As part of the Career’s Day and a session on becoming a pilot, Starlite Africa Aviation landed a helicopter at Oakhill yesterday. This was to the great excitement of all the Prep School students – thank you for a fun learning experience!
Our sincere thanks to these guest speakers who graciously shared their career experiences with Oakhill and other students from local schools. Well done to Julia Warren and her super team of Joyce Hughes and Milly Adams, for creating this opportunity.
