Oakhill Waterfront Chukka Festivals
Launched in 2011, Oakhill’s annual Waterfront Chukka Festivals have proven to be a consistent highlight on most school calendars!
This is the seventh consecutive year that the action-filled festivals have taken place. What makes the Chukka festivals unique in comparison to other water polo fixtures, is the open-water setting of the Knysna Waterfront Quays, in the world-renown Knysna estuary. The format of a festival, as opposed to a tournament, also adds a level of fun and camaraderie – there are no official results, providing schools the opportunity to hone and test their skills against opponents in a friendly, fun, yet competitive manner.
Since its inception, the festival has grown into what is fast becoming one of the not-to-be-missed sporting events for schools around the country. “The festival is always an exciting spectator event, well worth the visit to watch top-playing teams competing. Join in the summer spirit and support the players, or grab a drink or meal alongside and enjoy the festive vibe!”
